To start @JoyfulIsland3043 carrots grow best in loose well drained soil and do really well in a raised bed. Planting them a the start of spring after the last frost. You can also plant for fall and that would be 10-12 weeks before your first fall frost so around now is a great time to start!
Hey @JoyfulIsland3043 Carrots are a great pant to start with some advice is grow local seeds. Plant carrort over 2 years. Carrorts are a bi annual crop. the first year you get carrots the second you get flowers and seeds. If you plant seed twice over 2 years you will have carrots every year feel free to reply with questions
