Sylvia Plath, and my favorite book of hers was the 'Collected Poems' I have. Next would be Sarah Vowell, and my favorite book of hers is 'Assassination Vacation.' Finally, Edith Wharton, and my favorite book of hers is 'The Reef.'

Ooh! Akwaeke Emezi for me. I havent read all their books, certainly, but every last one of them so far has been incredible. The way they write, how genuine everything they create is... It's just raw, honest thoughts that you can tell are not being sugarcoated in any way. I dont know if I've ever read a work from an author that's so purely and clearly them, no apologies, no hiding or sneaking. A little of me slips into my own characters, usually not on purpose, but they pour so much of themselves into their writing. I don't think I've ever read anything like theirs and i doubt i ever will heh... My favourite? Probably their memoir of sorts called Dear Senthuran~
