The White Lady of Balete Drive

Late one night, a taxi driver was traveling down Balete Drive, a quiet street lined with massive, twisting balete trees that blocked out the moonlight. As he drove, he saw a woman in a long white gown standing by the side of the road. She looked like she needed a ride. When he stopped and opened the door… she suddenly vanished.
Locals say she appears to drivers at night sometimes sitting in the backseat and those who see her meet with misfortune. They say she was a young woman who died tragically on that road long ago, and her spirit still walks, waiting for someone to help her find peace.
