@MrDonut yes they do try to chew cords. we put our cords in a place where they cant reach them to make sure they dont nibble.

@Aria_Amethyst Thank you for all that info! I never knew I would need to rabbit proof the house, but that makes sense they would always be nibbling on stuff in the wild to help with there teeth. Your Bun is very lucky to have you!

@Lilly I would say do a lot of research before adopting! I would reccomend reading through Wabbit Wiki and/or San Diego House Rabbit Society's page on preparing to adopt a rabbit. Some basic things: you are going to need space for your rabbit. A rabbit hutch is not suitable. My rabbits roam around our main living area. If you are going to have free roam rabbits like that, you will need to bunny proof the house. They will chew through cords if you leave them out! Which is bad for you and could harm your rabbit. You are also going to need a lot of hay. Hay is the main part of their diet. I made the mistake of adopting rabbits without thinking about how I'm very allergic to grass! Luckily, we were able to switch to oat hay which isnt grass. Also if you have hard floors you are going to want to cover them with low pile rugs or other soft things so they can safely run and jump since they are prone to joint injury.
