A vanilla/yellow cake with chocolate icing (for simplicity), or an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen (for special occasions). Also there's a cake we make that we like to call 'Mud;' it's an upside-down chocolate cake, and it's very rich. Goes great with ice cream. That cake is the proverbial 'once in a blue moon' cake, but it is so worth it.
