What is your opinion on the development of technology and AI? I love watching how quickly technology is developing, because as a child, a smartphone seemed like something expensive and unrealistic to me, but now I'm here, a smartphone is my new everyday life. And what I like most is how AI is developing in medicine, because with its help, people can use prosthetics as if it were their own body. In the spring, I saw a person with prosthetics, and at first, due to my poor eyesight, I didn't see that they were prosthetics, and I was shocked that the person wasn't cold, because the prosthetics looked so realistic. And when I got closer, I realized that the person was not cold and did not need to wear warm shoes, because these were her prostheses. But the person actually walked as if they had real legs. And it's incredibly cool that these opportunities are now available to people. I hope that technology will continue to develop in this direction.
Ai specifically the one used for prosthetic uses smart prostheses allows the algorithm to decipher electrical nerve impulses sent by the patient’s muscles. Allowing for a more immersive experience. I do wonder though if users experience a Ai muscle spasm for lack of a better term where their prosthetic miss reads and moves differently then intended. There are many different types of Ai and unfortunately a lot of Ai gets lumped in the same category even though they do different things like Aria pointed out with generative AI. For the phone being affordable that is more a supply chain, manufacturing and brand thing. I am sure they use a specialized Ai to make all of that cheaper for different parts of the process but I don't know. I do like the Ai that are helping people live easier lives
Prosthetics can be used like your own body part by stimulating your nerves with recently developed tech. This was developed before AI and has nothing to do with generative AI. AI can be used to help blind people as an accessiblity tool though.
