Apart from the LotR trilogy, I like the animated "Hobbit." It's essentially a cliff notes version of the book. Featuring the voices of Orson Bean, John Huston, Hans Conried, Paul Frees, Richard Boone, and Brother Theodore. The studio that animated it - Topcraft - went on to become Studio Ghibli under Hayao Miyazaki. Incredible film. Featuring what I consider one of the scariest 30 second sequences ever committed to film. Well worth checking out.
