Just watched 21 Jump Street (2012)

Aside from some weird old-fashioned stuff like "it's okay that this high schooler is a love interest because she's 18", this movie was actually a lot of fun with many laugh-out-loud moments. I promise you I have seen other Lord and Miller movies but the comedic style of this one reminded me so much of The Lego Movie (even though that did come out later lol). Partially because of that early 2010s culture, but a lot of the jokes really feel Lego Movie-ish. I love how it is definitely correct that Schmidt shouldn't get too attached to his false life as a high schooler, but at the same time we can't help but root for him a little bit. His backstory of having a bad time in high school isn't dwelled on but sufficient enough for us to feel for him. The way that both of the guys get "fish out of water"'d is honestly a great setup.

Have you watched "The Man From Toronto"? You might like it, it's also a comedy :)
