Has anyone ever read "Dune"?  It was my father's favorite book of all time.  I tried to read it once years ago, but I didn't get it.  What do you think of it?

I usually read the hunger games series or Alex rider series

I've been thinking of reading them!

Dune can be a complicated book to get through.  The series is great and the lore has so much to offer.

The movies are a good compliment for those who are confused with the book.

I feel like the newer movies are better digested for people who are new to the universe of Dune!
