Don't tell me what to do. 😂 Lol. Damaging a book is a crime
theres never a krispy kreme too far from a barnes and noble. just dont eat the donut and turn the pages witb the same hand lol 😂
i always look for hardcover but if i just wanna get int he pages then definitely paper. this was me picking up Gone Girl paperback like a month ago, such a good book!
@Evie I bought probably 10 second hand books at one store and maybe 6 at another. The only reason the 3rd survived was because they didn't have the author I wanted😂 I defs need a bigger bookcase
@Evie I have to order a lot of my books for my own safety. If I go into a second hand bookstore I'll flatten my bank account 😂
Me! I am sad that they are phasing out the smaller paperbacks 😔 Those were easier to travel with. I recently started rereading the Fear Street series and have been picking up more paperback from secondhand bookstores. I like the thought of it having been read many times before ☺️
@Sapphire I'd NEVER! Anyone who likes to read should read a wide range imo. I think it helps find styles you'll like and its great for expanding topics. Plus! You'll find a shocking amount of carry over information. I think your reading habits are very healthy. I read """trashy""" books for a brain break and I have a few historicals too.
If you ever want to branch into ancient genealogies, you should try After the Flood. Despite it's reference to the Flood of Genesis, his work is deliberately unbiased because he was trying to get the most objective look at our genealogies and ancestry. I love it
@Elijah Don't judge. I read mostly fiction. Classics. Poetry like Beowulf and Shakespeare. Lately, I've been reading Paretti novels. Anything really. Even some nonfiction. I've got weird varying tastes.
@Sapphire Medical books mostly 😅 A Taste for Poison where it breaks down famous poison cases, how it happened, what the impact was, and how the poisons work in the body. Its morbid but very educational. An easier one to get into would be Kill Shot though, its about medical malpractice in a compounding pharmaceutical company where proper procedures weren't followed. The CDC and FBI had to get involved and it became such a serious case that the legal proceedings around it caused sweeping changes in the industry. What about you Sapphire?
Absolutely me! I read on my phone when I'm travelling just to reduce the weight of my luggage, but I always have 4 or 5 books going at a time. Really into non-fiction right now.
I'm also attempting my own collection. Inherited my grandmother's old bookshelf and I love it
@Sapphire i love collecting books almost as much as i love reading books, my apartment is almost overrun with books. But paperbacks are best for traveling, reading on the beach or writting notes in the margins. Hardbacks are just for collecting 😂(edited)
I do every so often! Barnes and Nobles does blind dates with books where you pick a book that's wrapped in paper. That's the only time I read paperback :)
Do you?
