I decorate mostly for the winter holidays and for the spring equinox. I like the cozy Christmas vibe and I like the colorfulness of the spring.

i made a lot of it by hand! saves money and its fun! i made applesauce and cinnamon ornaments, i used cinnamon sticks with twine for stars, i get oranges and stick cloves in them, and i make sugared cranberries (you can eat them but they can stay on the counter and look cute). my mom has big snowflakes made of popsicle sticks that she uses every year too. I plan on trying to dry out some orange slices this year for decor. Also might cut up a sheet we dont use that has a christmas pattern to make into a banner. For the spring I have a bunch of fake flowers i found at goodwill that i had got for a college art project that i use every year. I also have little fairy dolls that i made. I also just use real flowers. But storage can be a problem for seasonal items when you live in a small apartment so I try to keep it minimal.
@Aria_Amethyst this reminds me of being a kid again! i'll need to set aside time to look into all these crafts and whether i'd be able to do them 👀
