​Adopt or shop: what was the story behind bringing your pet home?

I love adopting. But i purchased my puppy from a breeder. Because the breeds I like are too hard to find in shelters. I can easily adopt any cat though. But my favorite breeds are munchkins.

My grandmother had recently passed away and my bf surprised me with a puppy to cheer me up (pic is her when she first came home 💚)

My turtle wasnt mine it was my stepsister who was guven it on her birthday so now thw turlte is mine cuz she didnt want it

My sister bring her home to me when she was a puppy. She thought I would love Jelly. Because Jelly backstory is that when she was a puppy her littermates bullied her because was maybe a runt of the litter and also someone had bought her before me but couldn't keep her so they gave her back to my sister friend. So I decided to keep her. I bought Jelly from my sister's friend. She was original cost for $400 but I paid half the price which is $200. My sister's friend need the money badly because their house that they were living at got burn down. So that is how I got Jelly.
