That is a very philosophical and profound question. I believe it is indeed due to passion. However, explaining the true nature of that passion is very difficult. Sometimes it might stem from an unconscious void, and other times it could be an innate human instinct. Occasionally, it is hard to figure out its origin just by looking at the final creation.
