I'm not too happy about Evangeline, she's very heartbroken and I get the emotional oversight but I feel like the decisions she makes are very on a whim. I don't think I would have made the bargain and I honesrly have no expectations for their relationship!

- It's hard for me to sympathize with Evangeline because there isn't much detail/character development around Luc, so we're just reading about her making bad choices and don't even know if he's worth it 🤔
- I think Jacks has a plan to become king and is using Evangeline as a pawn ♟️
- I wouldn't because making a deal with a Fate seems to be equivalent to making a deal with the devil or a genie. You get what you want, but not the way you imagine 🧞
- It's hard to tell regarding the Evageline/Jacks ship so far..seems to be getting steamy though 🤭 but I can't imagine them being too romantic since Jacks has deadly kisses (edited)

I see your point with her being too trusting of her own romantic fantasies, and how she's making all her decisions baswd on them. Perhaps it comes from her heartbreak.
He does have something with his knack for control. He seems to enjoy having control over others, we'll have to keep reading!
It is a risky bargain, but she is a very emotional character. It might feel like she signed a contract without reading the fine print!
