Depends on the book. If its a good one its been loved. If its meh, then its probably in good condition

Books stay in great shape only a few books I'll mark up

Pristine. I hate marring books. But it happens. For example, I will need to invest in a new copy of 'The Collected Poems of Sylvia Plath' soon because it's so worn out and torn up.

Mostly stay pristine. Non-fiction does get a highlight but I like e-books because I'm more likely to highlight and annotate there
